Port Sultan Qaboos will be converted from a commercial port to a fully integrated tourist port.
Mina Al Sultan Qaboos Waterfront Development is conceived as a large scale mixed use integrated tourist complex, serving the needs of local Omanis, expatriates and regional/national visitors.
It consists of, residential, hotel, retail, commercial and cultural uses while maintaining a number of port operations including cruise liner facilities and grain and other dry goods unloading.
The Masterplan seeks to create a contemporary Omani townscape that extends and responds to the form and scale of Mutrah.
